A not so well known artist

Artists can be ones who paint. One might compose great music. Another dances. I like to think. What do I think about? I think about lots of thing, great and small. I enjoy philosophy and science most of all. I went to Villanova University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering. I also received a minor in Philosophy. To think is the greatest power ever given, and all should be thankful they have received it.
Though some believe me to be lazy, I like to think quietly to myself.
I could go jump around, and do on occasion. But why? Just to get there faster? Why? 'So that you can do the next thing.' Peacefulness is a grace most people do not realize. Look at the animals of the earth on a warm summer day. Are they running and flying this way and that, to the point of exhaustion? Or are they meandering and relaxing, soaking the sun or stretching in the cool shade. 'Ah, to not have worries,' you say, 'That is the life.' Who does the worrying? An animal could worry...it lives according to Darwin's law, 'Only the fittest survive.' They may at any minute be the target of a predator. And if that time comes, that is when they get nervous and worry. Once the threat has gone, they slowly return to a peaceful state of being.
'Where shall I go?' | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
A predator, but also prey. This magnificent creature, as many are, is losing its home. The land it once roamed is being taken away. Humans are using it for themselves, and wild animals are no longer allowed. This wolf wants to know why they like those wimpy dogs when they could have a strong wolf like him. There is no place for him. As the Europeans did to the Native American, so we do to what is left. The pace has slowed due to the efforts of many, but the road is long, and we are still not in the right direction. |
